Place your device with the charging side (typically the back) down on the charging surface. It's typically best to place it in the middle of the charging surface. Some phones charge better if rotated 180 degrees.

While coins and/or other metal objects placed in the bin may heat up, the charger has metal object detection built-in which will stop charging if a sufficient amount of metal is placed between the charger and the phone. Your phone will determine which charging source to use.
